The Railway Service Commission, Patna was
re-christened on 2/1/1985 as Railway Recruitment Board, Patna as per
directive of Railway Board. In the year 1985, the other eventful mark
in Railway Recruitment Board, Patna's history was that its office was
shifted to the Railway building in Mahendrughat on 31/7/1985 from a
private building at Jamal Road.
Since then, the Railway Recruitment Board, Patna has been functioning in the same building and discharging its responsibilities of making recruitment selections for its present jurisdiction of Danapur, Mughalsarai, Dhanbad Divisions (East Central Railway) & Head Quarter of East Central Railway and Katihar Division (Northeast Frontier Railway).
